The British Museum has about 13 million exhibits of human history and culture. They are from all over the world. Some countries, like Greece, Egypt and China, want their things back. The British took them hundreds of years ago. The museum first opened in 1759. About 75 people a day visited it. There were 71,000 things, including 40,000 books and stuffed animals. There were also very old things from Egypt, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
