The historic handshake will help the USA and Cuba end their bitterness at between down for from in of off on towards each other. The two countries have barely spoken at between down for from in of off on towards more than 50 years. America banned its citizens at between down for from in of off on towards visiting Cuba and banned most Cuban goods at between down for from in of off on towards being exported to the USA. Over a decade ago, the USA declared Cuba was a sponsor at between down for from in of off on towards international terrorism. Castro and Obama are expected to have a sit- at between down for from in of off on towards meeting. They will discuss how to make sure their countries can have a better future together. The meeting will be the highest-level talks at between down for from in of off on towards the USA and Cuba since Richard Nixon and Fidel Castro met at between down for from in of off on towards 1959. A US security advisor said: "The reason we're here is that the President strongly believes that an approach that was focused…totally at between down for from in of off on towards seeking to cut at between down for from in of off on towards the Cuban people at between down for from in of off on towards the USA had failed." President Obama said: "I think the Cuban people are extraordinary and have huge potential. And what's encouraging is the overwhelming majority at between down for from in of off on towards Cubans are interested at between down for from in of off on towards …moving forward." The two countries are only 151 km apart.
