Three men were rescued about after at by for from in of on out to with a remote desert island about after at by for from in of on out to with adventure-book style about after at by for from in of on out to with Thursday. The three sailors became marooned about after at by for from in of on out to with the tiny, uninhabited island about after at by for from in of on out to with Fanadik in the South Pacific Ocean about after at by for from in of on out to with their boat capsized. The island is several hundred kilometres north about after at by for from in of on out to with Papua New Guinea. Even though they lost their vessel about after at by for from in of on out to with night, the men managed to swim about after at by for from in of on out to with nearly three kilometres to reach land. They remained about after at by for from in of on out to with the island about after at by for from in of on out to with three days and believed they were modern-day castaways. They wrote the word 'HELP' about after at by for from in of on out to with the sand using palm leaves so they might be spotted about after at by for from in of on out to with a plane. Their prayers were answered when a U.S. Coast Guard plane spotted their message about after at by for from in of on out to with the beach. A Coast Guard spokesman spoke about after at by for from in of on out to with the rescue. He said: "Our combined efforts, coupled about after at by for from in of on out to with the willingness about after at by for from in of on out to with many different resources to come together and help, led about after at by for from in of on out to with the successful rescue about after at by for from in of on out to with these three men in a very remote part about after at by for from in of on out to with the Pacific." Once the men were found, their families were notified and they were put about after at by for from in of on out to with a boat back to the island of Pulap, from where they had initially set about after at by for from in of on out to with to sea. The Coast Guard said none about after at by for from in of on out to with the men was injured. The rescue is one about after at by for from in of on out to with many the U.S. Coast Guard has undertaken recently. Officials say that about after at by for from in of on out to with the last two weeks, they have coordinated seven search-and-rescue missions about after at by for from in of on out to with the South Pacific, saving the lives of 15 people.
