READING:

Everyone's nose is a different shape. Researchers may know why. Researchers say it could be because of the climate. People with wider noses live in warm, humid areas. People with narrower noses live in colder, drier places. The nose makes sure the air we breathe is warm enough. It is like a temperature controller.

Researchers looked at the noses of over 2,600 Africans, Asians and Europeans. They checked their nose width and height, and the distance between the nostrils. The research could help people with the heat or cold, and the humidity if they go to other countries. It is difficult to know how our nose will change shape in the future.
