The Reading / Listening - Brexit - Level 0

The UK Prime Minister Theresa May is trying to save the Brexit deal. The UK Brexit secretary quit yesterday. He said Ms May's new Brexit deal was bad for the UK. Ms May said her government must choose to leave the EU with no deal, have no Brexit at all, or join together and support her deal.

Brexit means "British exit from the European Union". In 2016, Britain voted to leave the EU. They said Britain was stronger outside the EU and could trade with other countries. People who voted to stay think the UK is stronger in the EU. The UK plans to leave the EU in March. It is now unclear if this will happen.
