The USA has unveiled uniforms for its newly created Space Force. The U.S. Space Force (USSF) is the space branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. It was created alongside the U.S. Space Command. The special uniforms were designed for Space Force personnel. The design has created quite a stir on social media. The design is the regular green, black and brown army camouflage. It is not camouflaged for space. The uniforms were launched on the Space Force Twitter account. The tweet said the uniforms had "touched down in the Pentagon".
The USSF is the sixth branch of the U.S. military and the first new armed service since the creation of the U.S. Air Force in 1947. President Trump said the Space Force would help deter aggression from, "the ultimate high ground". He said: "Amid grave threats to our national security, American superiority in space is absolutely vital." Many people thought the force needed a black uniform, so as to blend in with the dark of space. Military officials said that designing new uniforms would waste taxpayers' money. They said no soldiers would be floating around in space in the near future.
