READING:

Britain's government says access for disabled people in stores and restaurants is "shocking". It is difficult for disabled people to shop and eat. Around 20 per cent of stores had no wheelchair ramps. Two-thirds of store staff have no training to help disabled customers. Many restaurants had no toilets for wheelchair users.

Britain's government said it was unfair that the disabled had problems. It said disabled people should enjoy shopping. Stores and restaurants lose money by not helping the disabled. The government said 20 per cent of British people have a disability. They have a spending power of over $310 billion.
